The Empowerment Project Inc., is a new, disabled veteran, registered 501(c)3 start-up, nonprofit dedicated to supporting and empowering children from underserved and marginalized communities through various programs and initiatives. Our mission is to make a positive impact and create a better future for children, their families and the community. 

 There are many ways to get involved with The Empowerment Project Inc. You can apply to be a Board Member, a Program Director, an Educator, a Volunteer, make a monetary donation, become a sponsor, donate equipment, supplies and so much more. There will be plenty of fundraiser events to attend so spread the word! The new independent school in the area is coming soon and it is going to be phenomenal! Become a part of The Tribe! We intend to offer a variety of programs aimed at addressing the needs of the children in the community. We, of course, will offer the traditional English, Math, Science, History and Physical Education curriculum but we intend to include programs not normally taught in public schools. We start  at the Pre-K through grade 5 level. We will offer Afrocentric studies, STEM, Horticulture and age appropriate financial literacy classes so children can determine their own future. Set their own paths. STEM can take them in any direction they choose. Entrepreneurial opportunities for members of their communities which will have huge impacts for all. They will learn about money and how to use and invest it as we will offer age appropriate financial literacy education Children will learn how to sow and harvest their own food. Foreign languages, Arts and Music. We believe educating our children through learning interactively is an alternative way to learning. It will be an experience that will bring each child’s individual creativity to the forefront giving them the confidence required to follow their dreams. This is the beauty of Independent Schools.

The Empowerment Project Inc. isn't just about the children. It’s about their families and their communities as well. Working together will help everyone thrive, so we are counting on the support of us all! The children, their families and the communities in which they live.

We will produce many fundraisers to assist in getting the things we will need. We will host food drives for families in need of a bit more assistance. Vocational training will be held for those parents needing a hand to step up at work or get a new job. Our impact on the community can be significant immediately and much more impactful over the years as The Project continues to grow. 

Donations are the cornerstone for nonprofit success. They assist in keeping operations afloat so the growth never stops. Donating comes in many forms and all forms are appreciated. To ensure we have everything we need in order to ensure the children can soar without limits, we need everyone to work together. Every dollar counts and will make a difference in the lives of those we serve. And because we are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, all donations are tax deductible!
